You know those coupon books you get in the mail? They contain deals from local companies with the latest deals and offers. But the big problem for the advertising companies… those books and their offers moved at the speed of, mail. Instead, imagine instantaneous local deals meaning advertisers could reach their potential customers immediately. A restaurant that ordered too much fresh fish? Run a 50% off special today. The local Jiffy Lube lacking foot traffic? Flash Deal. This is the idea behind Jaha, a startup technology app that creates instantaneous local couponing to help users discover deals around them when they want services and it lets businesses make immediate coupon offers to help them move excess inventory, sell expiring product, and more. Unlike companies like Groupon that require upfront purchases, Jaha is completely free for users to find and utilize deals. Paraguayan Guaraní for “Let’s Go!”, they needed branding, messaging, and creative help to help turn an industry-changing idea into reality. With a target demographic of low-income youth, without losing sight of older individuals on fixed income, we centered the identity and colors around common tropes of the industry: snipping out coupons. Built with a rich UI of discount stickers, tags, and a personified scissors mascot the Jaha brand pairs traditional with energetic modern.
