Located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Ampere is a masterplanned community of workforce housing that was necessitated by the thousands of workers that would be moving to the city due to the future opening of Ford’s BlueOval SK battery plant. Comprised of four different living communities, including a 55+ community, Ampere needed naming, branding, and marketing strategy to help separate it from other competing living options. Paying homage to the forthcoming battery plant, we worked to position it with a visual branding that represented both a battery and alternating current while secondary visual elements referenced electrical diagrams to create a cohesive, energetic, brand.
